At Troy Technologies, our business model is to build quality solutions for people with special needs.Through continuous improvement methods and stringent quality checks, we are proud to offer the finest quality wheelchairs and accessories available.Nothing leaves our facility without rigorous inspection and quality assurance.
All new designs and changes must pass our twelve point inspection procedure before it goes to market. But it doesn’t stop there. We perform random checks to ensure against quality deviations.
Our commitment to quality is unsurpassed in the wheelchair industry and you can feel secure in that knowledge whenever you use a product from Troy Technologies.
Drop Test
This is an endurance test designed to simulate continuous rough use.It involves lifting a fully loaded wheelchair 5 cm. off the ground and dropping it in a repetitive cycle. The drop test certifies the chair’s structural integrity under harsh travel conditions (to pass this test, a chair needs to survive being dropped over 6000 times). This test follows the guidelines of The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) – Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA), Volume 1 / Section 8.
Twin Drum Accelerated Fatigue Test
This test is particularly brutal. It is designed to ensure continued performance even under the most extreme conditions. This test, nicknamed the “bumpy road”, runs for over 100 hours under full load. Even after such a brutal test, your travel chair will roll straight and smooth.
Tilt Test
The dangers of falling out of a wheelchair are real. That is why we go so far beyond the national safety standards. This is a center of gravity and braking test. Our wheelchairs will not topple over even when tilted to twice the national standard.
Troy Technologies travel chairs are engineered for comfort, convenience and durability with a lifetime warranty. The designs are use-and wear-tested at the factory to assure you of their safety and durability. You won’t be stranded with broken gear when you’re traveling in far away places!
